Sep 3, 2010 - In simple words, the EU needs capitalism in consort with security in the purchasing power of savings, so that there can be investment in the production of goods and services that others at home and abroad, want to buy. And not the philosophical ramblings of the likes of André Gorz as expressed in his 'Reclaiming Work Beyond the Wage-based Society,' which advocates that any valid metric by which the efficacy of politics may be judged, must be eliminated from the minds of the polity.
